A classic country pub nestled in the village of Brookhouse just outside of Denbigh.

Located in the stunning Vale of Clwyd/Dyffryn Clwyd overlooking the famous Moel Famau and Offas Dyke rolling hills. Brookhouse Mill has been welcoming the local folk of Denbigh and surroundings for decades. It has been through a number of transformations over the years from its origins as as a working flour mill in the 18th century, to a pottery in the 1960s and then to a thriving pub & restaurant in the 1980s. Following twelve months of refurb we hope you'll agree that this beloved building has been sympathetically restored and is once again a warm and welcoming traditional country pub.

Whatever the season, we’d like to think you’ll find a corner to suit, a cosy table next to one of our open fires in the winter, or a light and airy spot in our river room, or out on our terrace and garden for our ever-too-brief summer afternoons with a glass or two of something cold and crisp.

We’re all about doing the simple things well - pouring a cracking pint, serving quality wines, and cooking fresh, proper food, all served by a team of friendly, familiar faces on both sides of the bar.

Our menu is homemade and full of choice, blending much-loved pub favourites with seasonal dishes inspired by flavours from around the world, each with our own twist. Whether you’re popping in for a light lunch or something more hearty, we've got you covered, from light bites and sandwiches to wholesome mains and, of course, our selection of irresistible homemade desserts. Whenever possible, we source our produce locally supporting local business as well as trying to showcase the produce that the area has to offer.

Keeping the heart and character of Brookhouse Mill has guided every step of the journey. We wanted to retain as many original features as possible, wherever it felt right, carefully shaping those interesting rooms and spaces into areas that create the perfect setting whether you’re popping in for a quiet drink, settling in for dinner, or celebrating something special.

The views here are simply too good not to share, so adding a first floor terrace felt like a natural fit. On those rare but beautiful sunny Welsh days, there’s no better spot to sit back with a drink and watch the world go by.

Being spread over two floors with multiple different levels means that there is plenty of choice of where to sit. Get cosy in front of one of our open fires in the winter or soak up the sun and watch the world go by on one of our terraces in the warmer months taking in the breathtaking views over the Clwydian hills.
